Discipline & Behavior Management

The Disciplinary module provides a structured way to log, track, and resolve behavioral incidents within the school community.

Incident Logging​

To log a new incident, navigate to the Disciplinary section of a student's profile and click Log Incident.

Incident Types:​

  • Minor Misconduct: Low-level behavioral issues (e.g., disruptive behavior).
  • Major Misconduct: Serious infractions requiring formal intervention.
  • Academic Dishonesty: Issues related to cheating or plagiarism.
  • Bullying/Harassment: Safeguarding-related behavioral concerns.

Managing Records​

Record Attributes​

Every disciplinary record tracks:

  • Date & Time: When the incident occurred.
  • Description: A factual account of the behavior.
  • Actions Taken: Immediate steps taken by the reporting staff.
  • Sanctions: Penalties applied (e.g., Detention, Suspension).

Resolution​

Incidents remain "Open" until they are formally resolved.

  • Resolving an Incident: Provide closing notes and confirm that all required sanctions or restorative actions have been completed.
Parent Notification

When logging an incident, the system can be configured to automatically notify the student's primary guardian via email or SMS.
