Managing Organizations (Tenants)
The EducaSphere platform is built on a multi-tenant architecture. This section of the Backoffice Portal allows platform administrators to manage the different organizations (schools, districts, or educational groups) that use the platform.
Tenants Directory
The Tenants Directory is your central view for all organizations on the platform. You can monitor their status, subscription plans, and user growth from this dashboard.
Hint: The directory features a sortable table showing Tenant name, Slug, Plan, User count, and Status.
Searching and Filtering
Use the toolbar at the top of the directory to quickly find specific organizations:
- Search: Filter by organization name or unique slug (e.g.,
@acme-intl). - Status Filter: View organizations by their current state (Active, Trial, Suspended, or Cancelled).
- Plan Filter: Filter by subscription level (Enterprise, Professional, Basic, or Trial).
Organization Profiles
Each tenant has a unique profile containing their contact information and system configuration.
Core Attributes
- Name: The full display name of the organization.
- Slug: A unique identifier used for their specific EducaSphere URL (e.g.,
acme-academy). - Plan: The current subscription tier, which determines available features and quotas.
- Status: The operational state of the tenant.
Administrative Actions
From the Actions menu (three dots) in the directory, you can perform the following operations:
View Details
Open the full organization profile to view detailed contact information, address, and extended system logs.
Editing a Tenant
Update the organization's display name, contact details, or subscription plan. Note: The unique slug cannot be changed once the organization is provisioned to prevent URL breakage.
Suspending an Organization
If an organization's subscription expires or they violate platform terms, you can Suspend their access.
- Suspended organizations cannot sign in.
- All data is preserved, but access is blocked until the status is restored to "Active".
Subscription Tiers
The platform supports several predefined plans:
- Enterprise: Unlimited users and premium modules. (Color: Blue)
- Professional: Advanced features for growing institutions. (Color: Green)
- Basic: Standard features for smaller schools. (Color: Yellow)
- Trial: Time-limited access for evaluation. (Color: Grey)

To onboard a new organization, use the Create Tenant button. You will be required to provide:
