Managing Schools & Campuses
Platform administrators can oversee all schools and campuses registered across different organizations (tenants). While organization-level admins manage their own schools, the Backoffice Portal provides a global view for support, auditing, and platform-wide management.
Schools Directory
The Schools Directory provides a comprehensive list of all educational institutions on the platform.
Hint: The directory displays the School Name, parent Organization (Tenant), School Type, Student/Staff counts, and current Status.
Searching and Filtering
Administrators can use the following tools to refine the list:
- Search: Filter by school name.
- Type Filter: Categorize by school level (e.g., Primary, Secondary, K-12, Higher Education).
- Status Filter: View Active, Inactive, or Pending schools.
School Profiles
A school profile contains detailed operational and contact information:
Institutional Details
- Name & Type: The official name and educational category of the school.
- Organization: The parent tenant that owns the school.
- Metrics: Real-time counts of enrolled students and active staff members.
- Location: City or region where the school is situated.
Contact Information
Schools can maintain multiple contacts and addresses:
- Primary Contact: The main point of contact (e.g., Principal or Administrator).
- Official Address: Street address, city, state, and postal information.
- Digital Presence: Official email, phone numbers, and social media links.
Administrative Control
Through the Actions menu, platform admins can:
- View Details: Access the full institutional profile and contact directory.
- Edit Institutional Data: Correct or update school information, type, or contact details.
- Manage Status: Transition a school between "Active" and "Inactive" states.
Creating a New School
While schools are typically created by organization admins, platform admins can provision a school directly to any tenant using the Create School button.
Requirements:
- Associated Tenant: Every school must be linked to a valid Organization (Tenant).
- Unique Configuration: Basic institutional details including name, type, and primary location.
